The rules, in plain English.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into binding contracts. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payouts. We may decline any application without explanation and may revoke approval at any time for cause.

We pay 5% of the booking subtotal (excluding tip, taxes, and surcharges) on every confirmed booking driven by your unique promo code. Founding cohort affiliates lock in this rate for the lifetime of their account, regardless of future rate changes for new affiliates. Tips go 100% to the provider.

A booking is attributed to your code only if (a) the customer applies your code at checkout, and (b) the booking completes payment successfully. Attribution does not transfer between codes. If a customer enters multiple codes, the first one applied wins.

Commissions enter a 14-day clearance window from the date of booking confirmation. During this window, refunds, disputes, and cash-collection failures will reverse the corresponding commission automatically. After the clearance window closes, the commission is locked in and will be paid out in your next requested payout, regardless of subsequent booking status.

Minimum payout is $20 USD or $400 MXN per currency. You request payouts manually through your dashboard. We review every request within 48 business hours. Once approved, Stripe transfers the funds to your linked bank account or debit card, typically within 1-2 business days. We do not charge platform fees on payouts; Stripe charges its standard processing fees, which we do not control.

You may not: (a) use unsolicited messaging (cold DMs, mass email, SMS spam) to promote your code; (b) post your code in coupon-aggregator sites, deal subreddits, or similar untrusted channels; (c) bid on Nova trademarks in paid search; (d) misrepresent the program (e.g., claim higher discount than 10%, claim no fees if you charge customers); (e) impersonate Nova staff. Violations void affected commissions and may result in termination.

Your code may not be applied to bookings on your own customer account or on accounts you operate (family, household, or business affiliates). We monitor for fraud patterns including burst self-bookings, refund cycling, and IP/device collisions. Confirmed fraud results in immediate termination, forfeit of pending commissions, and reversal of paid commissions where recoverable.

Either party can terminate this agreement at any time. We will pay out any cleared commissions on file within 30 days of termination, subject to the standard payout minimums. Pending commissions in the 14-day clearance window will be paid if they clear within the 30-day post-termination period; otherwise they are forfeit.

You are an independent contractor, not an employee. You are responsible for reporting and paying all applicable income, self-employment, sales, or other taxes on your commissions. Stripe Connect issues 1099-NEC forms (US) or collects RFC information (Mexico) where required by law. Nova does not withhold tax from commissions.

We may update these terms with 30 days' email notice. Continued participation after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. Disputes are governed by California law (US affiliates) or Baja California state law (MX affiliates). Disputes will be resolved in good faith first; if unresolved, by binding arbitration. The founding-cohort lifetime commission rate is excluded from unilateral rate changes.
